HOW TO ANALYSE LANGUAGE IN NON-FICTION TEXTS

For most students in the international systems, students struggle with English comprehension. The main reason for this is that most students and parents do not understand how to answer such questions.

Unfortunately most parents(especially most of us went to 8-4-4 schools where comprehension questions were testing for understanding only) guide the students to re-read the comprehension in the hope to find the answers.

Most of the comprehension questions for students above grade 6(year 7) rarely test understanding but rather the analysis.
